Now I Have More Than Penny…

I’ve been going on about how I wanted a cat.

For some reason. I always thought I was more of a dog person, like I LOVE Penny to bits no matter how annoying she is.

LOOK AT THAT FACE!

When I was trying to put on her shirt, but she thought I was playing snatch. *rolls eyes*

Yea, she breaks heaps of stuff and everything. Which often send Lily and I into angry rages…

When she knew I was preparing her food.

But Mark also wanted something for the both of us. So we went around quite a bit to look for pets that we would love.

We’re both animal-lovers and have taken care of pets before, so we knew what we were signing up for. I coo-ed at almost every animal, but there wasn’t any that Mark and I both agreed on.

Then one day Rae, a friend, asked if I’m still keen on adopting. Then she sent me the picture of the cutest little angel with a contact number.

So before we knew it, I arranged a meeting with the foster home to see the kittens.

Kittens with Mark’s sexy leg.

Without knowing, Mark and I actually spent about 2 full hours with the foster couple.

There was a lot of chatting, a lot of playing with the kittens, exchanging of animal stories… But y’know what? We didn’t even know each others’ names.

Mark & I knew them as- the foster couple with the kittens to be adopted.

They knew Mark & I as- the cat adopters.

But as we spent time with the kittens, Mark and I just knew that we loved them already.

So we were debating over which one to adopt. One had gorgeous eyes and was more curious. The other was more white and a lot more timid.

Mark liked the curious one more, because he was like a little active explorer.

I, on the other hand, was really more inclined to care for the timid one.

We left the foster home CONSTANTLY discussing over which one to adopt. Then we looked at each other, “Lets just get both.”

They’re siblings anyway. It’ll just be cruel to separate them when they’re already away from their mother. And besides, not like Mark and I are unable to care for both of them.

The very next day, we went on a shopping spree for our new babies. And that night, they were brought over.

It wasn’t easy at first… They were quite petrified of their new surroundings and I yelled at Mark’s brother for disturbing them too. *protective mode*

So they didn’t really sit in the boxes or cat homes we had for them… They actually preferred to just be perched under the IKEA table.

Let me introduce my kittens to everyone!

Naming them was NOT EASY too! Mark and I kept on fighting.

I wanted Cookie and Cream, and he went, “NO! They’re boys! No boy of mine is going to have such sissy names!”

Oh geez. Reminds me of when he said he’ll disown his child if he/she is homosexual.
If I’m the mother, I’ll divorce Mark and support my child. Bah.

This is the inquisitive one. He also whines while eating at the same time…

Oreo!

This one is SUPER meek and I had to pat him for a long time before he calmed down.

Milkie!

They’re still adjusting to their new home. But they’re making good progress! Expect an influx of a lot of cat photos from me, along with dog photos too. 😀

I’m so happy!

Despite the fact that in the morning, I had to lift up the bed frames to carry them out. And them making an utter mess of the toilet. Heh.

But I’m actually really grateful that Mark and I are able to give love to them. 🙂 I won’t neglect Penny, for those who are worried! Penny has Lily anyway. And our houses are both super nearby right now.

Look at Oreo’s expression when I let out a loud fart… “OMG WHAT’S THAT?! THIS HUMAN IS SCARY!”

I’ll end this post with an adorable picture of them comfortably on my bed!

Hello, I’m your new mommy! I’m going to love you, feed you, squeeze you, take care of you etc etc.

:))
